On 28 January 2019, DDI Japan officially took over part of the office area of GINZA SIX that it acquired, which marked its fourth successful office-related business acquisition project, after MORI, Ebisu and VORT GINZA DDI projects. This project again co-invested in cooperation with Vortex made a good start for DDI Japan in 2019.

GINZA SIX was completed in January 2017. It is a commercial complex consisted of the business area from F1 to F6, office area from F7 to F13 and a total of 6 floors underground.

Located right at the center of Ginza’s large-scale business district, 6 Ginza Chuo-ku, Tokyo, and with a floor area of 9,080m2 and gross building area of 148,700m2, GINZA SIX is the biggest commercial complex in Ginza currently, owning 121 flagship stores out of 241 brands, 34 of which are the biggest ones in Japan and 4 top the world. Six metro lines nearby offer convenient transportation. It is only 2 minutes’ walk from the nearest Ginza metro station and 600m away from DDI Japan’s office at 1-8-7 Ginza Chuo-ku.

Recently, the real estate in Tokyo regions has experienced a full recovery, which is attributable to the favorable facilitation by expanded tourism and gaming industries in Japan, and preparation for Tokyo Olympics Game 2020 and Osaka World Expo 2025. Therefore, as a landmark in Tokyo, Ginza has been an increasingly attention-grabbing destination for global investors. Considering the exceptional rarity of GINZA Six in this district, DDI’s successful acquisition move symbolizes the first step in implementing its overseas investment strategy in 2019, which is “Focus, Change & Win-win”.
